About Us

Silverfin Guide Service is a family owned and operated business. I moved to Alaska in 2004 and have been fishing for salmon ever since. I met Gary (the previous owner/operator) in 2005, and started working full time for him in 2007 to 2010 and part time in the years after.

Fishing has always been my passion, and I have been constantly studying the salmon species. I read any book on the subject I can get my hands on and later on, when I worked construction, I would fish before work and after, and through the weekends. I take my three sons to the river all the time.

Gary and I have been long time friends, and are great fishing buddys, we always let the other one know where the fish are. Last year Gary turned to me and asked if I wanted to buy his business - Yes! Its been my dream to do this for years, I am so excited to take this road.
